The new purpose of this web site contnued:Part 3

As I built up this vast collection of information that comes from all of the great people that I have interacted with in during my lifetime, I started to ask myself what am I going do I do with it? It is just way too much material for just a simple resume. I did continue to pursue the idea of building of visual resume as I had originally planned, but I also decided to try and take it a step further.

I wanted to build a site that was easy to use and viewable by a wide array people. To prepare for this in my last year of School at Brooklyn College I joined the NYC Web design group from Meetup Dot Com. I still had not started to teach myself any web design software yet, but I wanted to hear what the pros did when they built their web pages. At the monthly meetings I would listen in mostly, and sprinkle in a few comments on occasion. From these meetings I started to form ideas about how my new site should be constructed. I decided the site would not require the viewer to have any special software installed or any plugins to download. The site would site be free of popups and dancing distractions like animated GIFs on the content pages. The site should be viewable both on old and new computer hardware. The pages should be light in code so they can download fast and be easy to navigate. I chose to use CSS and XHTML as the methods to use when building my pages.

I graduated from Brooklyn College on June 2nd 2005 with a 3.3 GPA across 134 credits. Suddenly I felt like a fish out of water being without having a school to go to. What am I going to do with my free time? Watch TV? By the time I was 16 I realized TV was a big waste of time. That is the age when I had started taking correspondence courses via mail to learn new things and challenge my mind. (You see all of the courses I have taken in my education section. Watch out this section is big!). To stay challenged I took a detour and spent the next 3 months training for and doing all of the things neccessary to apply to Graduate School. I was done with this by the end of the summer. After that it was now finally time to build my new web site.
