As my scanned image collection grew in size I filed them away into a treed file and folder directory system. This file system proved to be so fast and easy to use my entire life started to become like one big giant movie before my eyes. I could now index through thousands of visual cues in my files at high speed. As a result of this I could now recall the sequence of events of the many experiences I have had with crystal clarity, as they were now be coupled with elements of extrinsic evidence. To understand what I mean look at my Early Years section on this web site, which starts with pictures of machines I drew in crayon when I was 7 years old on up to age 18.

I am not rich or wealthy, nor have I been to any exotic places, but I came to realize that I have had a very rich life indeed. What makes it so rich are all the people that I have met and came to know along the way in my journey through through life. As I started to remember more things from my past I created a spread sheet and started to list the names of all of the people in my life I could recall, as well as from where, how, and why I knew them. As of this date I have over 600 people on that list. And the list keeps on growing. Sometimes, when I think about a place from my past, out of the blue another name pops into my mind. I write down everything I remember about them right away, and the add them into the correct section my Friends List spread sheet.

Because I started working in high tech trades right out of high school, I always got paired up with workers that were an average of 10 to 15 years older than me. Back then I used to resent not having any young work friends to hang out with, but in retrospect I realize what a gift that was. For most people their work is a big part of their life. This is especially true of the trades and crafts people. I realized I had people who were teaching me not only what they knew about how to do a job, but also all that they have learned from their many years of experience. So at no cost I have been gifted with hundreds of man years of knowledge from highly experienced individuals.
