Harold Lazar. My Chemistry Teacher from Rutherford High School.

Mr. Lazar was my Chemistry teacher in High School. Because I was on the honor roll back then I could take some advanced classes. So I put in for Advanced Chemistry, which was taught by Mr. Lazar. Before I got in his class I did not like the math part of science, but the way Mr. Lazar taught the class he made it fun and easy to grasp complex concepts. I still remember having to do Stoichiometric and Molal equations, the principles of which helped me to do well in accounting class. Due to conservation of matter both sides must balance out in terms of electrons. In accounting you balance debits and credits. Also if you did not understand a concept Mr. Lazar would whip up real world simplistic analogy that could help you grasp the essence right away. He even made organic chemistry fun to learn. Taking his class changed my approach to learning forever. I did so well in his class I finished with a A average with a letter of recommendation from him to use as part of my College application.
