New York Worlds Fair in Flushing Meadow Park Worlds Fair 1964 to 1965

This was not a TV show or movie. This was an actual event that I would say has to be the most awesome event I ever attended in my lifetime. No other attraction has ever surpassed it, at least not for me anyway. This was a giant technology fair that was erected in Flushing Meadow Park in New York City. This fair lasted 2 years and they built permanent full sized buildings to house the exhibits. All the big companies of the world were invited to participate to show off the technology they had developed and were developing for the future. This place was a technologists dream. Although I was very small at the time I remember it well.

Each building was called a Pavilion and my favorite one was the GM Pavilion because it had a tram that took people past many sets of futuristic dioramas that showed what the world would be like in the future. I was so excited by what I saw. I got to visit this place a few times and each time I was filled with awe and wonderment over what I saw. I go to a lot of high tech industrial trade shows as part of my job today, but nothing will ever match the spectacle of the worlds fair.
