Brooklyn Technical High School in Fort Greene Brooklyn.

In the 8th Grade we had to start thinking about what we wanted to do in life as far as work is concerned because in New York City they had a few high schools that taught in specialized fields. Because of my time in shop class I realized that I liked to design things and then make them. So I chose to go to Brooklyn Tech as my High School. This was a high level engineering prep school and it was also one of the 3 High Schools in New York City you had to take a test to get into. I took the test and was accepted. This school was huge with gigantic high tech shops for building engineered designs. To get this picture I had to stand 3 blocks away from this school to get the whole building in the frame. It is 14 stories high to the tower. The school yard is on the roof. I found the whole environment to be too intimidating for me. I felt like a tiny pea in a gigantic pod with no one to guide me. I dropped out in the 9th grade because I did not like the school or the neighborhood it was in. I had been mugged a few times on the subway and I had enough, but I did learn to draw.
