Richard Schreyack, Electrical Engineer, my best friend and best mentor.
Ritchie was my best friend and greatest mentor for many years. I met him in 1971 at the local neighborhood slot car raceway. We started talking and found out we had many interests in common so we became friends. I was still in school but Ritchie was working full time as an electrical engineer for an audio visual presentation company.
Ritchie loved high tech equipment and the first thing he did after he bought something was to take it apart to see how it worked and I was right there with him. He taught me electronics, and by the age of sixteen I could build my own simple transistor circuits on perf board. There were so many other things I learned from Ritchie. Too numerous to mention. Unfortunately Ritchie passed away in 1993. He was an insulin diabetic and the disease took him. I miss him very much and have not had another friend who could match his intellectual prowess on such a broad array of technical topics.
