Astro Boy from 01/01/1963 to 12/31/1966

I think the television shows that attracted me as a child demonstrate empirically that I was growing up with a Technological bent. I grew up in a single parent household. My mother and father got divorced when I was only 3 years old, and my Father stayed out of the picture for the most part while I was growing up. My father was a Master Tool and Die Maker for Nabisco, which explained my genetic cravings for knowing how things worked. So here I was this baby tech head growing up with no man around the house to guide me. Television filled that spot quite nicely. Television not only showed me the way things are, but it also inspired me to imagine and envision what things could be. The foundation of all works of great engineering, are great visions.

Astro Boy was the first show to introduce me to me the concept of robots built as humanoid companions. After watching this show I began to draw pictures of robots of my own design. (Click on the Thumbnail to see what I mean)
